Mingus Center is a behavioral health facility providing adult addictions treatment, medically assisted detoxification and dual diagnosis treatment.
Rio de Esperanza– River of Hope -our residential addictions program,is a holistic 12-step alternative for those suffering the devastating effects of substance abuse, other addictions, and co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety. Our holistic apporach to recovery focuses on a lifestyle of balance - physical, emotional and spiritual.
Rio de Esperanza at Mingus Center is nestled in the shadows of Mingus Mountain, near the banks of the Verde River and minutes from the world famous red rocks of Sedona.
Complementing our core program, is an unparalleled range of enhanced treatment opportunities including addictions-focused acupuncture, restorative yoga, meditation, exercise and recreational therapy, neurofeedback, and equine assisted therapy. The program length is flexible according to individual needs ranging typically from 30 to 90 days.
Though much of our therapeutic activity occurs in the serene, inspiring environs of the beautiful high desert or the lush wetland habitat, our facility is specifically designed for comfort and a true sense of security, understanding, and an environment conducive to personal revitalization. Adult men and women are brought together to find peace of mind, recovery from their addictive behaviors, serenity, and a truly meaningful, rich appreciation for life.
On site medically assisted detoxification is yet another feature of our program. Unlike many programs, one need not be detoxed prior to admission. Our detoxification protocol is specifically designed to ensure the safest, most comfortable return to freedom from intoxication. Once that process is complete, the journey toward recovery begins.
